Where and how to buy?
Alberton City Gift Cards are available for purchase at the Customer Care Desk on the lower level near Checkers. You can use cash, a debit card or credit card as payment and you can choose to load a card with any denomination between R50 and R2 500, whatever suits your budget. The card then works in a similar way to any debit card. As you make a purchase, payment is automatically deducted, preventing you from overdrawing on your card. Two ways to check your balance
The attendant at the Customer Care Desk can swipe your card and provide a balance. Alternatively balance enquiries can also be made by sending a SMS with the gift card number (printed on the front of the card) to 34543 (SMS’s cost R2 each).
